Residents of Claremont Towers Bask in Christmas Cheer

A plethora of holiday events can be found close to the luxury apartment complex

No holiday is as joyful as Christmas, as exemplified by the saying of peace on earth and goodwill towards men. It does not matter if one is celebrating the birth of Jesus, lighting the menorah during Hanukkah, or just enjoying cherished time with friends and family, the holiday season is a time where everyone seeks to be closer to their fellow man and be of good cheer. Those living at Claremont Towers in Hillsborough, New Jersey, are fortunate that they do not have to travel far to enjoy the Christmas spirit as many holiday events can be found close at hand to the apartment complex.

The vast majority of the 39,832 inhabitants of Hillsborough, New Jersey, consider the Christmas holiday season to be the highlight of the year. (1) Trees are put up and decorated, businesses and schools are festooned with holiday decorations, and a number of families seek to outdo each other with elaborate outdoor light displays.

Cheryl Chambers of Claremont Towers says, “Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Seeing young children get excited when they see Santa, helping decorate the tree, and gazing at the wrapped presents under the tree is just a joy. Personally, I indulge and watch a ton of those romantic holiday films that Hallmark runs the entire month. There are also a lot of fun events for those living at Claremont Towers to help them get into the holiday spirit. The local tree lighting ceremony is always fun, and I am looking forward to listening to the Raritan Valley Choral Society sing some holiday classics. Those looking for a fresh tree to decorate their home can choose from a good number of farms that offer a variety of trees, such as the Canaan Fir, Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Douglas Fir, and White Pine. The Hillsborough Township Volunteer Fire Company #3 is having a breakfast with Santa event on December 7th. Another food event is the Pancakes with Santa event by the Raritan Valley Mothers of Multiples organization on December 8th where a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Brain Injury Alliance Adopt-A-Family Holiday Gift Drive. Overall, there’s a lot of holiday fun to be had in and around Hillsborough for the entire family.” (7)
