The township of Hillsborough honors the birth of America with local events
No holiday is nearer and dearer to the hearts of Americans than the Fourth of July. It was on July 4th, 1776, when the Continental Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence, wherein the fledgling United States declared its independence from Great Britain. This holiday was celebrated from the very founding of the country and was officially designated a federal holiday in 1870. (1) Every town and city in America celebrates the Fourth of July, and residents of Claremont Towers in Hillsborough, New Jersey, can easily find such a celebration close to the luxury apartment complex.
